Podcast Draft

Social media has been a fast developing area in the internet. It has seemed like thousands of sites to blog or podcast or even tweet have come up in the last couple of years.
But with the social media coming up, instead of being just social, it also became essential for individuals that want to advance their careers.
For example, if you're a writer you can open your own blog and write things in it to present in job interviews. Or you can produce your own material on blogs and show them to the public.
This can advance a person's career because if you switch from a job that didn't have anything to do with writing, you can use a social media site to produce some material to show off your talent.
Another example is a podcast. If you feel that you can be on radio or even television, you can write your own material and record it so you have something to present to companies that you might want to be hired by.
And the third example that I bring is Youtube. Youtube has been known to not only generate talent, for example Justin Bieber, but also people have been known to make money off their Youtube. For example there is a Youtube channel called "Epic Rap Battles of History". This channel is known by a lot of people and they make music. They sell this music and they make a lot of money that way.

Find Time To Podcast!

I found a great podcast from Audacity: http://theaudacitytopodcast.com/?powerpress_pinw=5442-podcast
It gives advice on how to find time to put up a podcast!
It gives great advice and is worth a listen to.

Free Podcasting At PodOmatic!

I found a great site that seems to be free, or if you want extra benefits you can pay, to post your podcast. It's called www.podomatic.com.
I really liked the fact that you can choose areas of events if that's the type of podcast you are writing about and also what type of podcast it is, because it has many different categories. It seems really useful!

Benefits and Drawbacks of Blogs

There are many benefits and drawbacks of using blogs in a professional setting. One of the benefits is that you can post very current information about yourself or your profession that you might not be able in different settings. For example, if you just finished studying and got a degree, you can go to a blog and update that immediately while if you didn't have a blog, you would have to go and either call anyone that has your resume or print out resumes again and send them one by one, which is a lot of work.
On the other hand, the drawbacks of using a blog can be the fact that anyone that wants to hurt you, can. Because people can post comments on your blogs, and anyone can open a new account and put whatever they want as information, people can go around and spread lies about you through comments, if they want to hurt you, without any reproductions done. If you want to deny them, you can. But some people might take those allegations seriously and even go as far as not hiring you to a job you want or not take your words seriously because of those little comments.

Economy of Words

Economy of words, to me, means that you shouldn't write more just to sound smart. You need to make your writing concise and stick to the point. Whatever it is you want to post about, just put the information or your opinion about it and that's it. There is no need to start using too many words to impress anyone or to sound smart or anything of that sort. You just need to make sure that you give the information you want to in a short way so the people who read your information don't get bored or don't understand your point.

Little Tips For Your Blogs

In order to make your blog more colorful, you need colors that might attract readers to it but that don't make the text hard to read. This means that if your background is white, you shouldn't make the words in a color that makes the reader have to squint or something of that sort to try and read it. For example, if your background is light blue, make your words in a red color that would stick out.

Another good tip would be that you should pick a theme that suits to the subject of your blog. For example, if your blog is about sports, make your background a baseball glove, or a basketball. This would make it so the reader can see right off the bat what your blog is about and that way decide if it's for them or not.
